Pastor - Larry Thomas:

I have been in Christian leadership since the early 1980’s, serving in the area of missions and discipleship with Youth With A Mission. I met my sweetheart Becky in Hawaii where we were married in 1987. Together, along with our two daughters, Kimberly and Tiffany, we have pastored in several different churches since 1995. Most recently, we have joined Courts of Praise and are now co-pastoring once again. I have a heart for the local church as well as for missions. The church motto, “Apprehending God’s Heart and Fulfilling His Dreams” is also the pursuit of my life. It is my desire to see God’s love and passion capture our hearts and then lead us on to maturity and mission for the sake of Jesus.

Pastor - Becky Thomas:

Becky co-pastors Courts of Praise Foursquare Gospel Church alongside her husband, Larry.

With a personal mission statement to "create sacred spaces where people can encounter the God who loves Him", her activities in C.O.P. include worship leading, prayer ministry, intercession, public speaking and, at times, helping to spearhead new ministry opportunities. Making time to worship and soak in God's Presence personally, as well as with the church, has become increasingly

important to her as she and Larry lead the church in "apprehending God's heart and fulfilling His dreams".

With a life call to "release the performing arts" she is actively involved in teaching, training, and providing opportunities for other artists to nurture their giftings thru storytelling and jam nights. An itinerant minister and recording artist, her Native American heritage highlights a special focus to see the First Peoples restored and released in their destiny, as well multi-ethnic expressions of worship in the church, making God's house truly a "house of prayer for all nations". Becky and Larry are the proud parents of two daughters, Kim and Tiffany, who give them no end of delight.

Prayer Ministry Leader - Sherry Waugh

Sherry and Gary Waugh’s salvation experience in Foursquare expands over 30 years. They were called to be co-Pastors at Courts of Praise in 1991 and served the body of Christ for 18 faithful years. In the past, both of them have served as National Board of Directors of Foursquare Canada. Gary, in his life-long expertise in the area of finances and accounting, continues to serve as treasurer, bookkeeper and auditor.

At Courts, Sherry coordinates the area of Prayer. Her heart’s cry is to “know Him”, His love and purpose for her life; to “be known”, allowing Christ in every part of her life and to “make Him known”, to others. Sherry carries the natural gift of a teacher of the Word and loves to mobilize the people of God, encouraging them to know their identity in Christ and walk in it. As an intercessor, prayer is integral to her lifestyle as she prays for the Church and the City. She genuinely lathers love upon others with a prayerful and “mother’s heart”. Sherry and Gary have two children, Tim (Krisinda) Waugh, and Robin (Shawn) Schmidt. Together, Sherry and Gary delight in their five wonderful grandchildren.
